We are a small independent game developer located in Warsaw, Poland. Before The Astronauts, some of us worked on games like Painkiller and Bulletstorm.
Our latest project is Witchfire, a dark fantasy first person shooter set in an alternative world in which witches are real and very dangerous – but so are you, witchhunter.
Our first game was a weird fiction mystery titled The Vanishing of Ethan Carter. The game has won many awards, including BAFTA, and we sold over one million copies. It’s available on PC, PS4 and Xbox One. Click here for more details.

Changes to our website:
• For a long time, our website featured project-related articles, as well as general game design musing, including reviews of other games from a game designer’s perspective. From now on, we’re focusing 100% on our own projects. It’s mostly going to be about our current project, Witchfire, but there might be occasional The Vanishing of Ethan Carter news as well.
• I will still write about game design things on my Medium page, though. So the change is more about separating The Astronauts stuff (here) and all other stuff (Medium) than about quitting the latter.
• Because we’re using a new theme, all old content is visually incompatible and thus was archived. Not deleted, though, so everything is still here, just hidden. All links work, and you can still find all the posts via our search or Google.
That’s it, really. A short post, but at least the homepage does not look totally empty after the redesign!
